“I’m a being arrested?”
“This is all a big mistake”
“Can I just pay a fine now?”
Then we had an idea, we should make up t-shirts with random acts of Romanian to wear back in the states. The phrases above would work great. When Victor arrived to pick us up and bring us back for the days activities he got a kick out of them too.
The day flew by as we hung out with the Moldovan youth from the Lord’s Army church visiting two local monasteries, having a roadside picnic, and going to a beautiful local park to play games, singing songs and having a Talk from Genesis on relationships. It was a really great time to hang out with the young people, and we wish we could have spent more time with them.
We had a huge feast at Lula and Olga’s house that night. Unfortunately Pete thought the cheese and tomato covered chicken slices were pizza and picked them up with his hands to eat them… maybe they thought it was just a cultural difference ;) HOMEMADE éclairs were the bomb.
