Maui Day Three

Woke up! ;) After another morning at Sunrise Cafe, we headed up the north western coast, spelunking down to the water whenever possible.

At one point we found a calm pool of water in lava rock near a very turbulent bay, fun swim.

We found a roadside stand and bought some fresh pineapple and homemade chocolate chip cookies to munch on.

After running to Longs (again) to pick up towels, a straw hat and sunglasses (yes, I had managed to loose them not even 12 hours into the trip) we headed to the D. T. Fleming Beach Park to soak in a longer duration of rays. Much to our chagrin however the wind had other plans and after 15 minutes of sand storm we sought refuge in the waves. When the energy ran out we started scavenging for local coffee shops and found one with comfy chairs - (Hawaiian Village Coffee). I took a nap whilst Pete performed hard drive recovery on our 250 GB movie drive (my stellar husband had it back in working condition in no time). Before we knew it it was time to head out for the evening's planned activity: The Old Lahaina Luau - Our Yelp - a fun experience!
